Solution: We prepared a detailed Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) to manage potential risks to the environment associated with the construction of landslip remediation works. The CEMP provided a framework for ensuring that all persons and organisations undertaking the works were aware of their environmental protection obligations as well as outlining procedures for implementing environmental management requirements during construction.

The CEMP included an assessment of the environmental, a description of the project and proposed construction methods, project planning including compliance and auditing, communication, management of incidents, reporting requirements record keeping and risk identification. The CEMP also included performance indicators, monitoring and corrective action for individual environmental aspects such as sediment / erosion control, stormwater, flora / fauna, noise / vibration, dangerous goods, fire, visual amenity waste and contaminated land.

Outcome: Our CEMP help secure construction approval for the project and ensure practical protection of the environment during construction.
